What is Enlightenment and have you achieved this?
54What is Enlightenment?
To start, for some reason I cannot answer questions, so this hub is in reference to the question posted:
What is enlightenment and have you achieved this? By LearnLoveLive
Enlightenment is the state of being enlightened through knowledge and/or spirituality. To enlighten someone is to impart this knowledge upon them in today’s language, but an earlier definition defined it simply as removing the blindness from one’s eyes. This earlier definition was more of a metaphor also referring to removing the darkness from one’s heart. So to attain enlightenment, one must be enlightened by something that is enlightening essentially allowing the individual to see clearly the aspects and scenarios surrounding themselves and their way of life.
How to attain Enlightenment:
Enlightenment is an ongoing process, while you may feel you have reached a moment of enlightenment at one time, unless you pursue enlightenment vigilantly, it will fade in time. This is because our reality is shifting all of the time and while you may see clearly and have the knowledge at this moment in time, unless you continue to seek enlightenment, you will end up becoming “blind” to the world as it changes in the future. Therefore, enlightenment is a constant quest and may be achieved multiple times throughout one’s life, but without that constant and driving urge to open your eyes and heart to the knowledge being bestowed upon you at all times, you will find yourself losing this enlightenment. It is this constant drive for a better understanding of the universe that drives us philosophers to seek this every day without fail, it is this inherent urge that drives us to achieve these states of enlightenment.
Have I attained Enlightenment, or do I just like to talk about it?
Well, Both. Because I have achieved enlightenment, this states that I am in turn enlightened. And since I like to talk about it, I tend to be enlightening and enlighten those around me through my words. I see without a blind eye, I feel without a blind heart, and I know there is more to everything than it seems. And personally, I feel that the best method to achieving enlightenment is to first look for it, because when you aren’t looking for it, you will never achieve it.
But more importantly,
Enlightenment, having already been achieved I now seek to transcend into something far greater. It is this Transcendence that I feel the world will be experiencing very soon. Once Humankind can become enlightened and identify their species as a whole and not as separate and different from one another, the beginning of a global enlightenment will take place which will open the doors to the transcendence of Humankind into a new realm of existence. This will bring an existence beyond the barriers of time, beyond the barriers of social constraints, and above the understanding that our enlightenment will ever show us in today’s day and age. For now, it is up to those like us, who strive for enlightenment, to lead the way for future enlightenment and the transcendence of Humankind.

I love the title of this hub.
Well, i would say that i am enlightened, as there is only The Divine Being and process that is eternal. And that has been given directly to me in my relationship to the divinee person, incarnate. (See my hub on Adi Da to see what i mean). On the other hand, 'i' can never be enlightened as 'i' am always looking for it,and therefore contracting from its present reality. Even so, there is only only only The Divine Heart. It is a mind fuck of a mystery that never ends. :-)
