The Law of Attraction is a simple metaphysical belief that is simply explained as “Like attracts Like”. To better understand how this Law affects us universally, one has to view it from a level of being higher than oneself. The creation of the Stars, Planets, and other Celestial Beings were all formed through an attraction of like masses and energies. The masses and energies being drawn toward one another shaped the universe as we know it today.
A perfect example of the Law of Attraction at work in the Earthly realm is with water. If you take two separate droplets of water, say one droplet on a flat surface and the other droplet on the end of a toothpick you are holding. Put the toothpick close to the water on the table, and you will see that before you ever actually connect with the droplet on the table, the two droplets will connect in the middle of the very minute distance between them. This is due to polarization of water, but also a perfect example of how the law of attraction works.
How do you utilize the Law of Attraction?
In order to utilize the Law of Attraction, one must understand that the subject of whatever they are thinking and the connotation in which they are thinking it will affect what exactly they are attracting. Thoughts like “I need more business”, while a realistic thought, is going to draw the NEED for MORE BUSINESS, so that you will continue to need more business. One must think positively and as if the wishes have already occurred.
So instead, if the thought of focus were “I have more business than I need” or “Business is booming!” you will find yourself drawing more business than you need or a boom in your business. Simply by focusing on what you want to happen rather than what you need to happen or what could go wrong, you will draw what you want to happen. Because so many focus on the need and the doubts, the needs and doubts are all they will achieve, simply because that is all they are asking for.
Does the Law of Attraction work?
The root of the Law of Attraction is Perception. If you believe yourself to live a better life, and to be happy, you will find that you are happy and living a better life. However you feel to perceive the world around you, that’s how the world around is going to be. The Law of Attraction dives further into this by allowing you to actually draw what you want using these Perceptions.
Does the Law of Attraction work? Yes, through focus and clarity, you will find that the Law of Attraction will never fail you. However, the efficacy is entirely up to your ability to keep a positive focus and continue to draw what you wish for rather than faltering back into the feelings of doubt and worry. Just like anything else in this world, practice makes perfect.
Tips on how to utilize the Law of Attraction:
To better your focus on your wishes and goals, it is highly recommended that you write them down in a list. Put a title above that list that provides a timeline of what you wish to have, such as “Things I will have by the end of the year.” This allows you to go back at any time and read your list, remind the universe what you want, and then a guideline of when you want to receive it. Practice this every morning when you wake up, read the list out loud in its entirety and cross off everything as you receive them.
A second method to better focusing on your wishes is to make a collage on some poster board with the images of everything you wish to obtain. Put a large title, similar to the one given above, at the top of the poster board. Every morning look at these pictures and visualize you already having them and read the title aloud. This method is not preferred by me as it takes more work and materials, but there are those who are better at visualizing through pictures rather than through words, if you happen to be one of these people, then this method is for you.
I’m still Skeptical…
If you are skeptical through all of this there is only one way that you will ever know if it works. And that method is to try it on your own. It is a simple as having some wishful thinking and adding 15 minutes of pondering into your schedule. As for myself, I live happier, get the things I want, and am actually happy with my life just by living through Perception and the Law of Attraction. Even if it doesn't work for you, living with a more positive approach to things and focusing on your wants rather than your doubts WILL make you feel better.

Interesting hub. I was telling a co-worker the other day that I actually write down my New Year's Resolutions. She couldn't believe it. She then asked me what I did when I didn't achieve my goals? I told her that whatever goal I was able to achieve for that year I'd highlight in bold, whereas the ones I was not able to achieve I'd jot them down for the following year in hopes of achieving them then.

Another good hub, I have been interesting in the Law of Attraction for a long time. The fundamental law of attraction in psychology is based on the same principle, it's a bit like installing a subconscious motivation towards the things you want to achieve in life.
